🧮 AM Synthesis Formula

output = carrier × (1 + modDepth × modulator)

Amplitude Modulation (AM) works by varying the amplitude (volume) of a carrier wave using a modulator signal. This creates sidebands at frequencies above and below the carrier frequency.

Key Components:
Carrier Wave: The main audio signal you hear
Modulator: Controls how the carrier's volume changes
Sidebands: New frequencies created at carrier ± modulator frequency

Fun Fact: This is the same technique used in AM radio broadcasting! The radio station transmits on a carrier frequency, and your voice/music modulates that carrier.
